Students save at exclusive Target event [VIDEO]

Not even a thunderstorm could deter them.

As early as 9:15 p.m., eager students gathered at the Turner Residence Hall bus stop to catch a ride to Target for a unique shopping experience held exclusively for students. Nervous and excited incoming freshmen loaded into complimentary coaches provided by the shopping venue with the promise of extended shopping hours, games, food and complimentary amenities to prepare them for their upcoming year.

But it wasn’t just freshmen who benefited.

Though the event has been advertised as being a welcome event for freshmen students, any student with a valid ID was allowed to attend. Parents, siblings and extended family members were allowed to accompany current students and share in the savings as well.

And with nearly 1,500 participants, you can rest assured that future events at Target will follow the trend of success.
