Students to perform and display at Starland Dairy

Today, May 22 a SCAD student exhibition will be held at the Desotorow’s Starland Dairy exhibition space on Bull and 41st St., featuring an array of artistic displays from light installations to performance based exhibitions. Three classes, more than 40 artists, 19 installations and sculptures will be brought together and displayed in one convenient location.
There are three separate events presented together at this location. The first two, are a product of the students of of Design III: Time. “M.I.L.K.” — Media, Installations, Light and Kinetics — is brought to life by the students of professor Kelley McClung, while “Soapbox” is under the direction of professor Christopher Olszewski. Lastly, “Simulacrum” is led by The Art of Spectacle students, taught by professor Matt Toole.
The exhibition will open its doors at 7 p.m., with the show starting at 8 p.m. and lasting approximately two hours. There will be plenty of refreshments and enough time to chat with the artists.
