Supplies in demand
With the release of class syllabi this morning and the start of fall quarter only seven days away, it’s safe to say that the mad dash for school supplies has begun. Classroom staples like ballpoint pens, notebooks and highlighters are always at the top of the list and available at virtually any nationwide retailer, but it’s doubtful that Target or Walmart will carry Holbein Artists’ Gouache.
Naples Yellow Italian, specifically.
Students attending the university for creative careers are typically required to buy materials that most students never hear about. Luckily, university staff, administration, and upperclassmen are knowledgable enough to share where specialized supplies are sold and where students can get the best deals.
However, they rarely take the opportunity to illustrate the where-to for desperate students.
