Tinghe Yang is an animator who walks to the beat of her own drum, as she finds a sense of wonder in the world around her. Her imaginative view of her environment inspires her stories and characters.
“Sometimes things happen around me, and in my daily life,” Yang said. “Say I see a really beautiful flower, I can think, what if the flower had life? What if there was a little girl having such sweet and warm things happening around her?” She explained that this was the root of her creative process.
Yang’s ability to take something as simple as a flower on the street and create a world and story around it is what makes her work so uniquely her own.
“It’s about exploring myself, and what is the limit of myself I can reach,” Yang says, “I’m the person that is always motivated by something unknown.”
