Tom Harper, Director of “The Aeronauts”, promoted his un-released film during the opening night of the 22nd SCAD Savannah Film Festival. His red-carpet debut was followed by the anticipated screening of the film that took the audiences breath away. Inspired by the historical work of balloon-flyers and meteorologists, the two stories intertwined seamlessly, leaving viewers in awe.
‘I’ve always been fascinated [by] weather and the idea that 150 or 170 years ago that we really had no idea about the skies,” Harper said. One of the main themes of the film, weather, draws parallels to the rains and shines within the two main characters played by Felicity Jones and Eddie Redmayne.
