The City of Savannah will be hosting the River Street Clean-Green Sweep on Friday. The City is hoping for other community members to come out and help the business and organizational volunteers already committed to the event.
The duties will include cleaning, painting, and planting all around the River Street area. There will also be demonstrations of new Greener cleaning methods provided by the City along with training provided for businesses on proper cleaning methods.
Goodwill Industries will have a drop off area at the event slightly used for office furniture, clothing, books, and other items.
If anyone is interested in volunteering, the meeting point is Arbor Stage at John P. Rouskais Plaza at 9 a.m.
The entire event will last from 9 a.m. to noon on Friday.
