Wag-O-Ween, an annual fundraiser for local pet rescue agencies in the Savannah area, carried on through rain and shine today. The scattered afternoon showers didn’t cause much disturbance for owners or dogs as they showed up from noon to 5 p.m. ready to win the costume contest. All proceeds from the raffle, t-shirt sales and photo booth go to agencies such as the Renegade Paw Rescue and Humane Society for Greater Savannah.
A $5 donation to the event buys a goodie bag, map and a wristband to go on a trick or treat walk with Savannah businesses featuring some select surprises upon arrival. Donations go to the rescue agencies and opens an opportunitiy for people to see and experience exciting local treats.
