The 34th Savannah Music Festival is happening from March 23 to April 8. As stated in their mission, “the Savannah Music Festival is dedicated to presenting world-class celebrations of the musical arts by celebrating timeless and adventurous productions that stimulate arts education, foster economic growth and unite artists and audiences in Savannah.”
The Savannah Music Festival is Georgia’s largest musical arts festival. It is also one of the most distinctive cross-genre music festivals in the world. This year’s festival has 90 performances to look forward to. The musical genres include jazz, folk, classical, American and global roots.
The festival is a great way to discover new artists. Some artists debuting are Terence Blanchard, Patty Griffin, St. Paul & the Broken Bones and more.
You can buy festival tickets in bundles or for individual concerts. Students can get a 10% discount when purchasing tickets in person at the Savannah Box Office. Ticket prices vary depending on the concert, but start at $31. You can purchase tickets online, by phone or in person. For more information, check out the Savannah Music Festival website.
You can also use the festival as an opportunity to get your head in the door of the industry by volunteering. Open volunteer positions include Artist Hospitality, Office Assistance, Education Programs, Special Events, Festival Ushering, Street Team Marketing, and Merchandise Assistance. To apply to volunteer for any of these positions, all you have to do is fill out this form.
