Winter Break Watchlist: Here’s what to binge this break

Winter break is here and with the long, well-deserved rest ahead, lies the blockbusters, show bingers and heart-gushing films I’m reminding you to go see below. Happy winter break everyone! 

1. ‘Spider-Man: No Way Home’ December 17th, Theater Release

As the marvel universe dives into the all alluring multiverse, our friendly neighborhood Spiderman treads through unfamiliar territory as his identity becomes nearly impossible to conceal. Whether you’re a Marvel fanatic or casual viewer, the long-awaited Spider-Man film is looking to be the best in the series yet and a MUST see-in-theater experience! 

2. ‘House of Gucci’ November 24th, Theater Release

Preceding with her award-sweeping role in ‘A Star is Born,’ Lady Gaga is introduced as Patrizia Reggiani, an outsider that marries into the Gucci family. Her character gives a lot to look forward to in the new Italian mafia film of the Gucci household legacy, alongside co-star and leading man Adam Driver. 

3. ‘Don’t Look Up’ December 24th, Netflix and Theater Release

Playing two bottom-tier astronomers on a mission to warn mankind of a world-ending comet, Leonardo DiCaprio and Jennifer Lawrence lead this black comedy alongside a crazy star-studded cast, featuring Timothée Chalamet, Meryl Streep, Cate Blanchett, Jonah Hill and Ariana Grande. Adam McKay isn’t looking to disappoint.

4. ‘Tick, Tick… Boom!’ November 19th, Netflix Premiere

As Lin Manuel Miranda’s latest work, Andrew Garfield stars in the musical telling of a young theatre composer navigating the highs and lows as an artist in NYC, just before his 30th birthday. 

5. ‘The Witcher’ (Season 2) December 17th, Netflix Premiere 

Witcher fans have been waiting for this one and if you’re a sci-fi or ‘Game of Thrones’ fan alike, this is definitely a high contender for your next binger.

6. ‘Licorice Pizza’ November 26th, Theatrical Release 

A more low-key class of a film, Paul Thomas Anderson gives coming-of-age lovers a new film to cozy up to and bask in its nostalgic 70s glory. The perfect seasonal film to put you at ease and enjoy the story of two kids growing up, running around and falling in love for the first time. 

7. ‘Hawkeye’ November 24th, Disney+ 

Based on the Marvel Comics superhero Hawkeye, the new series revolves around the adventures of a Young Avenger named Kate, played by Hailee Steinfeld and their unlikely friendship to get Hawkeye back home in time for Christmas. Perfect for family viewing for the holidays!

8. ‘The Matrix Resurrections’ December 22nd, Theaters

A revival film for the true fanatics, the long-awaited fourth installment of the franchise reveals that Neo has returned back into the Matrix. This 22-year-old classic is going to appeal to a whole new generation of fans you might just want to be a part of.

9. ‘EncantoNovember 24th, Theatrical Release

A magical celebration of family and Colombian culture, Disney’s newest film in hand with Lin Manuel Miranda’s brand new score is the best next thing to go watch in theaters and bring the whole family along! 

10. ‘The Great British Baking Show: Holidays’ December 3rd, Netflix 

Lastly, such a comfort watch, ‘The Great British Baking Show’ returns for the season with a holiday special that’ll make all you baking show fans out there feel right at home. If you need a show to add to the Christmas holiday magic, this is the one for you.
