College Security Report: March 31 – April 6, 2008

March 31
3:06 a.m. – Security responded to a call about an unknown man wearing a helmet and a robe knocking on doors at Weston House. Security was unable to find anyone matching that description.

11:10 p.m. – A student reported to the Adler Hall security officer that she had hit her head getting into her car off campus. Emergency medical personnel responded but the student refused treatment.

4:45 p.m. – A student reported that her wallet was missing. A police report was filed.

April 1
9:30 a.m. – A student reported that an external hard drive was missing from Montgomery Hall Room 221. A police report was filed.

1:31 p.m.– A student reported that his bike was missing from the rack at Morris Hall. The lock and front tire were still there. A police report was filed.

2:12 p.m. – A student reported that his car was damaged while parked at Barnard Village.

5:50 p.m. – A student reported that the student in the above report had left a note on her car claiming she had damaged his vehicle. The student’s parent from the incident above informed the student that he expected her to pay for the damages. The parent has called three times and left messages threatening to go to the police.

April 2
12:42 a.m. – An RD reported that power was out to a room in Weston House.

2:35 p.m. – Security responded to a vehicle accident in the Weston House parking lot. A police report was filed.

April 3
12:34 a.m. – Security stopped a student from entering Turner House with another student’s ID card. The card was confiscated.

8:12 a.m. – Security responded to a vehicle accident in the Weston House parking lot. A police report was filed.

10:48 a.m. – Security stopped a student from entering the Gulfstream Center with a fake sticker on her ID. The ID was confiscated.

5:40 p.m. – A vendor reported to security that the lock on the sixth-floor
Coke machine in Oglethorpe House had been damaged and product and money was missing.

10:20 p.m. – A student reported that his moped was missing from where he parked it at Montgomery Hall. A police report was filed.

April 4
12:48 a.m.– Security responded to a water leak in a Turner House room where water was coming through the wall from another room. The adjacent room was checked, and was found flooded. Security noticed several policy violations in the room and notified residence life staff.

8:30 a.m. – A security officer noticed smoke coming from an apartment at the Equestrian Center. The fire department was dispatched and upon arrival found food burning on the stove causing the smoke. The smoke was cleared.

1:01 p.m. – A student reported that her backpack was missing from where she had left it at the Turner sub shop overnight. A police report was filed.

3:06 p.m. – A student was injured at Turner House. Emergency medical personnel responded and transported the student for treatment.

5:40 p.m. – A student reported that his laptop was missing from where he left it at the Dyson Lab. A police report was filed.

April 5
3:59 a.m. – A student became ill at Turner House. Emergency medical personnel responded and transported the student for treatment.

5:30 p.m. – Police informed security that the front door of Bobbie’s Diner was unsecured. Security responded and secured the door.

April 6
11 a.m. – A student reported that her room in Pulaski House had bees in it. The maintenance office was notified.
