College Security Report: June 23-29, 2008

June 23
3:15 p.m. — Security responded to a non-injury vehicle accident at the Turner House parking lot. Police responded to the scene and generated a report.

June 24
7:50 a.m. — Security was notified that a contractor’s truck and some landscaping equipment along with a laptop had been stolen from the Equestrian Center. Jasper County Sheriffs Department responded and generated a report.

4 p.m. — A faculty member reported that a power washer was missing from room 125 of Alexander Hall. She had noticed that the power washer was not there on June 19, but stated that it may have been missing for three weeks prior to that. The power washer had already been replaced and she stated that police did not need to be notified.

5 p.m. — Police notified College Security that a SCAD student filed a report for being harassed by another SCAD student at an off-campus location.

June 25
12:40 a.m. — Security responded to a medical call at Oglethorpe House. A SCAD student was complaining of flu like symptoms. The student took an Advil and decided that she did not want further medical attention.

11 a.m. — A SCAD student reported to security that there were items missing from her IDSA locker in Gulfstream Center. She stated that her Portable sewing machine, Iron, sewing kit and button machine were all left in the locker when she left school on May 25. The items were not in the locker when she returned to school on June 23. Savannah Chatham Metropolitan Police Department responded to the scene and generateda report.

6:15 p.m. — A SCAD student reported to the security officer at Eichberg Hall that he had cut his finger with a knife. The building manager administered first aid (Band-aid) and the student departed the scene prior to the arrival of the security operations manager.
