College Security Report May 18-22, 2011

May 18

8:30 a.m. — A student reported to security that he either misplaced his wallet or it had been stolen somewhere in Eichberg Hall. Savannah-Chatham Metro Police responded to the scene and issued a crime report.

 

3:30 p.m. — A student reported to security that a surveillance camera and cords had been stolen from her dorm between 1 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. Savannah-Chatham Metro Police responded to the scene and issued a crime report.

May 19

6:45 p.m. — Security discovered graffiti damage on the handicap ramp at River Club.  Security notified maintenance for clean up.

May 20

2:30 a.m. — Security responded to a noise complaint at the Boundary Village parking lot. The students making the noise entered their dorms prior to security’s arrival.

 

11:55 a.m. — Security received a call from Savannah-Chatham Metro Police regarding a student reported as suicidal that could not be located. Security contacted the on-call manager and notified them of the incident.

May 21

10:26 a.m. — Security responded to a fire alarm at the Boundary Village clubhouse. Security met the Savannah Fire Department at the scene where it was determined that cookies left in an oven had caused the alarm. The alarm was silenced and reset.

 

2:15 p.m. — Security responded to a “smoke” alarm activation at Abercorn Terrace. The alarm was determined to be a false alarm and the system was silenced and reset.

 

6:31 p.m. — Security responded to Turner House in reference to students throwing “Pop Its” fireworks. The resident adviser confiscated the items and turned them over to security.

May 22

5:50 a.m. — A student reported to security that the driver-side window of her vehicle had been shattered while it was parked in the Old Arch lot. No items were missing from the vehicle. Savannah-Chatham Metro Police responded to the scene and issued a crime report.
