College Security Report: May 19-25, 2008

May 19

7:11 a.m. – A professor reported that six LCD projectors were missing from Crites Hall. A police report was filed.
11:30 a.m. – A student reported that his bicycle had been taken from his off-campus apartment. A police report was filed.

May 20

9:40 p.m. – A student reported that she was mugged near the intersection of Bull and Hull streets. A police report was filed.
10:28 p.m. – Security responded to an alarm activation at Jen Library. The alarm was reset.

May 21

4:29 p.m. – A student reported that his father may attempt to visit him at Turner House, however he was getting a restraining order against his father. Officers at Turner House were notified and given a description.

May 22

10:30 a.m. – An employee reported that money was missing from the safe in the back of Byte Café. A police report was filed.
11:45 a.m. – The building manager reported that a DVD player was missing from Anderson Hall. A police report was filed.
1:18 p.m. – A student became ill at Boundary Village. Emergency medical personnel responded and transported the student for treatment.
11:05 p.m. – A student reported that he had been in a fight near the intersection of Montgomery and Broughton streets. He observed an intoxicated person harassing some women, intervened and was hit. A police report was filed and emergency medical personnel responded to the scene.

May 23

5:16 a.m. – Security observed an intoxicated individual leaning near the Pinnacle Gallery. The individual refused to leave when asked, and police responded and arrested the individual.
10:39 a.m. – A student reported that she had accidentally struck another car while parking at Alexander Hall. A police report was filed.
1:07 p.m. – A student became ill at Boundary Village. Emergency medical personnel responded and transported the student for treatment.
3:20 p.m. – A professor reported that a student had fainted in class at Wallin Hall. Security responded but the student refused medical treatment.
5:04 p.m. – A student using a fog machine in Montgomery Hall accidentally set off an alarm. The operations manager stated he would address the issue.
8 p.m. – A student reported her vehicle had been vandalized while parked at Oglethorpe House. A police report was filed.

May 24
1 a.m. – A parent reported to security that her daughter, a student, had been assaulted in her Oglethorpe House room. The student did not want police involved.
1 a.m. – A student reported that his moped was missing from the bike rack at Montgomery Hall. A police report was filed.
1:05 a.m. – Graffiti was found in front of Propes Hall. Photos were taken to document the damage.
5:25 a.m. – The RD reported that a student had been transported for medical treatment with alcohol poisoning from Boundary Village.
