College Security Report: Nov. 20, 2008

12:41 a.m.—Security responded to an alarm activation at Turner House. Savannah Fire Department responded to the scene and determined it was a false alarm.  Security silenced and reset the alarm.

12:02 p.m.—Security responded to a call of a suspicious vehicle outside of Smithfield Cottage. A SCAD staff member stated that a blue Ford Focus has been showing up three times a week just before lunch and hanging out in front of the Smithfield Cottage. The vehicle departed when the driver noticed security approaching. The police department was notified of the activity.

2:27 p.m.—A student notified security that someone had keyed her vehicle while it was parked in the Weston lot.  She stated that she had parked the vehicle at 1:30 p.m. and that she noticed the damage when she returned to the vehicle at 2:20 p.m.hours. Police responded to the scene and issued a report.

2:50 p.m.—Security responded to a medical call at Hamilton Hall. A student stated that he had fallen off his bike in front of Hamilton Hall and scraped his knee. EMS responded to the scene and determined that the student did not need to be transported.

3:10 p.m.—A student notified security that someone had poured a liquid on her car while it was parked at Oglethorpe House. She stated that she had parked the vehicle early in the morning and that she noticed the liquid when she returned to the vehicle. The student did not wish to have police notified.

6:23 p.m.—Security responded to an alarm activation at Arnold Hall. Savannah Fire Department responded to the scene and determined it was a false alarm. Security silenced and reset the system.

9:42 a.m.—Security discovered the handicapped entrance to York Hall was unsecured.
