9 September

3:20 p.m. — A SCAD employee called security requesting that security transport a student with chest pains to the hospital. Security dispatched Emergency Medical Services who took the student to Memorial University Medical Center.

9:05 p.m. — Security responded to an animal control problem regarding a snake in room at Weston House. Security was able to remove the snake from the room.

11:35 p.m. — Security responded to a “trouble” alarm at Boundary Village. The alarm was able to be silenced and reset. Sonitrol was notified that the battery needed service.

11:39 p.m. — Security received a call requesting to speak with an on-call counselor. Security took down the student’s information and passed it along to the counselor.

11:44 p.m. — Security responded to an alarm at Turner House. A patrol of the area was conducted and no discrepancies were discovered. The alarm was silenced and restored itself. The alarm was placed on the maintenance log.

10 September

1:01 a.m. — Security responded to a “trouble” alarm at Oglethorpe House. A patrol of the area indicated the elevator was out of service due to renovations. No other discrepancies were noted. The alarm was placed on the maintenance list.

11 September

7:45 a.m. — Security responded to a vehicle accident involving SCAD grounds crew and an unoccupied parked vehicle. Savannah-Chatham Metro Police responded to the scene and issued crime report number.

11:04 a.m. — Security responded to a “smoke” alarm at Boundary Village. Maintenance workers were on site prior to security arriving at the scene and had reset the alarm.

7:16 p.m. — Security responded to a “smoke” alarm at Barnard Village. Upon investigation it was determined that the alarm was caused by steam from the shower. The alarm was silenced and reset.

7:20 p.m. — Security responded to a “trouble” alarm at Montgomery Hall. Upon arrival the system signal changed to “normal”. A patrol of the area was conducted and no discrepancies were noted.

8:47 p.m. — A SCAD student reported to security that his wallet was missing from the Dyson Weston Bathroom. The student stated he accidentally left the wallet at 11 a.m. Items in the wallet included a driver’s license, two gift cards and a debit card. Savannah-Chatham Metro Police responded and issued a crime report number.

12 September

3:07 a.m. — Security responded to a “smoke” alarm at Boundary Village. Security met the Savannah Fire Department at the scene and it was determined that the alarm was caused by a leaking roof. The alarm was silenced and reset.

3:15 a.m. — Security responded to a “smoke” alarm at Abercorn Terrace. The alarm was determined to be a false alarm and the system was silenced and reset.

12:01 p.m. — A SCAD student reported to security that his bike had been stolen from the bike rack at Oglethorpe House. The student stated he locked the bike to the rack at 2 p.m. Sept. 11 and noticed it missing at noon on Sept. 12. Savannah-Chatham Metro Police responded to the scene and issued a crime report number.

6 p.m. — A SCAD student reported that her cell phone was missing from Turner Courtyard. The student stated she placed the phone on a table while conducting a hall meeting with 42 students. She noticed that the phone was missing at the end of the meeting.

7:20 p.m. — Security responded to a “smoke” alarm at Barnard Village. Upon investigation it was determined that the alarm was caused by steam from the shower.

13 September

4:46 a.m. — Security responded to a “trouble” alarm at Barnard Village. Security was able to silence and reset the system.
