District seeks editor-in-chief

District, SCAD’s student online news outlet, is accepting applications for editor-in-chief for the 2016-2017 school year. The editor-in-chief leads a staff of 12 paid student editors and roughly 100 student contributors. The deadline to apply is 5 p.m. Monday, Jan. 25.

Any full-time student enrolled at the Savannah campus may apply, but preference is given to students who have served at least one year on District’s staff. The position term is for one full calendar year from March 15, 2016 to March 15, 2017. The editor-in-chief will be selected by the Student Media Council following an interview on Feb. 5, 2016.

The editor-in-chief is awarded a monthly stipend during the term of their leadership. To read more about requirements for the the position and to apply, download the application.
