Every Saturday morning on the south end of Forsyth Park local food producers and farmers set up for the weekly Forsyth Farmer’s Market. Locals and visitors stroll along the park’s paved walkways sampling and purchasing locally grown and produced fruits, vegetables and other natural foods. The FFM believes that food should promote an individual’s health, every citizen should have access to good food, food should be grown close to where it is consumed and food production should not have a negative impact on air, soil, and water quality.
The lively morning event brings  an opportunity to the people of Savannah to sample and learn about a local food system that supports sustainable production.
