The Savannah-Chatham Metro Police took one man into custody after responding to a call about an in-progress larceny at Greengate Apartments.
Three suspects were reported tampering with two air conditioning units. When officers arrived, they found three suspects matching the suspect-descriptions, but all three suspects ran.
Later, one person matching the description was seen in the breezeway of a neighboring apartment building. A 17-year-old was positively identified as one of the suspects. After finding a book bag full of tools used to liberate the air conditioning units nearby, the minor was arrested. He is being charged with criminal trespass, theft by taking and obstruction by fleeing.
This is an ongoing investigation.
