This weekend, the Savannah Bicycling Campaign, a nonprofit advocacy organization for residential bicycling, will be hosting its third annual Midnight Garden Ride. This non-competitive, nighttime ride to benefit the Savannah Bicycling Campaign offers local bicyclers a chance to join their friends in turning the streets of Savannah into “a wave of blinking lights, music, and pedal-powered fun.”
The planned route is approximately 9.4 miles and travels through several historic Savannah neighborhoods. The ride begins and ends at the Forsyth Park band shell at 621 Drayton St. To see the full route, click here.
Along with the ride, Bicyclists can look forward to the annual Good and Evil Party at the band shell where there will be food, costume contests and live music provided by pop cellist Ben Sollee. A raffle will also be held at the band shell with prizes such as a 2011 New Belgium Fat Tire Cruiser and a $500 gift certificate to Quality Bike Shop.
