A man in Savannah was charged with a felony for theft by taking after failing to provide artwork commissioned by a man in New York.
Tyler Haslett, 28, was advertising sculptures online when he was solicited by the man from New York. The man advanced Haslett $600 for materials, and Haslett said he would send the artwork by the end of October. Since then, the man has made several requests for either the artwork or a refund, but neither was ever provided.
Since the investigation of Haslett began, several other victims have filed complaints. The investigation is ongoing.
