Savannah awarded for etiquette

At the City Council’s meeting on Thursday, the Charleston School of Protocol and Etiquette awarded Savannah with the title of “Most Mannerly City.” The award was given to Mayor Otis Johnson by Cindy Grosso from the School of Protocol and Etiquette.

Charleston, S.C. has been the recipient of the award for the past 11 years, but they removed themselves from this year’s competition after they received the Lifetime Achievement Award in 2007 from the school.

“Charleston was gracious, but I hope next year we claim the title outright,” Mayor Johnson said.
