Savannah History unveiled at Universal Trading Company Antique Store
On the corner of Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard and West Jones Street, Universal Trading Company boasts an intriguing array of curios and antiques. Universal Trading Co. has been at its current location since 2012 after moving from Congress Street where it had been open for 30 years. Owners Greg Portman and David “Eppy” Epstein sit behind their respective counters looking out upon rows of large antique cabinets, throne chairs, dinosaur statues, vintage jewelry, buckets of pins, and framed movie and music posters: What Eppy calls their own little “Corner of the Universe.” District’s Photo Editor Jonathan Vasata ventured inside to see what else hides behind the store front.
