William H. Macy (director) and Kara Durrett (producer) discussed their film “Krystal,” last night on the red carpet, after the films screening. They noted what they each want the audience to take away from the film: laughter, comfort for those suffering with addiction and a reminder to be fearless during today’s political climate.

“Krystal” tells the story of a Taylor Oburn, a young boy suffering from a heart disease that meets and falls in love with Rosario Dawson’s character, Krystal, an ex-hooker-stripper-junkie-alcoholic.

Stay tuned for news editor, Asli Shebe’s review of “Krystal,” coming out soon.
