Mayor to give State of City address

Savannah Mayor Otis S. Johnson will give the annual State of the City address during the quarterly Town Hall Meeting held at 6 p.m., Feb. 10 in the Savannah Civic Center Ballroom. The event is starting earlier than usual to allow for input from the public over the proposed changes to the St. Patrick’s Day Festival. The City Council is considering discontinuing gating off River Street and banning outdoor beer sales on River Street, among other proposals. After that the City Manager will give his review of progress made on Council priorities, an update from the Youth Futures Authority will be given, and the Mayor’s State of the City address will then occur.
