SCAD through virtual reality [PHOTO ESSAY]

On Saturday, April 11, prospective students swarmed Savannah for the last SCAD Day of the year. Some students and their parents had the chance to try out virtual reality goggles — the same goggles SCAD sent out to over 5,000 accepted students — made of cardboard and marked with the phrase “See yourself at SCAD.” Through these users can pick a location and explore the campus by moving their heads in every direction, allowing for a wide-angle experience. Developers at SCAD are currently working on an advanced version of the software in which you’ll be able to hear the locations as well.
