SCAD’s SNUG [Savannah nerf underground public group] is a group of students who gear up every Thursday night between Apiary and Bumble at The Hive to take part in nerf battles. Sometimes players take on different characters such as zombies and vikings. These characters have created an escape from reality and a way into fantasy.
Although there are about 549 members, the club is designed so students don’t have to attend each event, but rather particpate whenever they need a break from class or life. Players showed up to the match with items such as face paint, tool belts, shields and multi-colored bandanas. Overall, this club’s atmosphere allows students to unleash their inner warrior.
