One thing I’ve always admired about the fall is its dedication to unpredictability. Any given week can be filled with stretches of blistering heat, followed by a weekend of torrential downpour and 70-degree evenings. You never know what you’re going to get with this season, which is why I love having a playlist that makes me feel the same way.

“All of the above” serves as my balance in a season with a lack thereof. So, prepare yourself for all kinds of sounds and beat drops that can accompany you across the many moods of a savannah fall.

  1. “Bruise” by Between Friends

A typical fall song to start off this playlist. Its brash chorus and bittersweet lyrics are sure to have both your mind and heart racing.

  1. “Broken chair” by Rachel Chinouriri

This song perfectly surmises the feeling of longing for connection in a room full of people. What a horrible feeling so beautifully lyricized atop a synth-pop track.

  1. “( ╥﹏╥ ) (motion sickness)” by tsubi club

The first of three wildcards I’ve adorned this playlist with. It’sbest listened to in the car with the windows down on a rainy day.

  1. “hooman world” by corn wave

It’s simple, a perfect juxtaposition to the frenzied nature of the fall.

  1. “Cortt” by The Hellp

This song is the remedy for a cloudy day. It’ll get your head nodding and foot tapping no matter how buried in your blankets you may be.

  1. “IT’S NOT LIKE THAT ANYMORE”by Tiffany Day

Loneliness, self-worth, and all the struggles in between breathe life into this song. Let it be your catharsis for when the tears are full of much more than just sadness, and find yourself again when the beat drops.

  1. “Roses”by The Chainsmokers

Who doesn’t love a good throwback song? This one makes a guest appearance across all my playlists for its bouncy sound and gut-wrenching lyrics. There’s never a bad time to indulge in such poetic musicality.

  1. “Supercut” by Lorde

I can’t help but  daydream when this song comes on. It embodies a love that sits an inch out of reach but can be seen in all its faux glory.

  1. “Deja Vu” by Mariella

For such a mellow song,it always hits so hard. This song is  perfect for when the sun is shining while the rain is pouring.

  1. “The precipice” by Jessie Mazin

Scream this song in the car, into your pillow, or into the inky night. Do anything but try to stay calm when you listen to it. The lyrics are much too relatable to be experienced in normality.

  1. “WHAT IS FOREVER FOR” by Frost Children

Even the best things in life don’t last forever. Just the hopes that one day, they might. Let them go. Let them fall into the seasons we leave behind.

I hope “All of the above” has invited a sliver of randomness into your life that will help you acclimate to Savannah’s fall. Trust me, you’ll need it.
