A roaring good time at the Beaux Arts Ball

Beaux-Arts-Ball-posterSaturday’s downpour did not stop students from showing up at Dollhouse Productions for the Beaux Arts Ball.

The event, which is hosted annually by the School of Building Arts, was a fundraising event. One of the event’s coordinators, Justin DiPiero, an interior design major, explained that the money raised would be used for the Building Arts clubs for the architecture and interior design students.

The theme of the night was a Deco Dance, which was inspired by F. Scott Fitzgerald’s “The Great Gatsby”. Students and professors arrived dressed to the nines or rather, twenties and enjoyed the food catered by Zunzi’s. Several guests immediately hit the dance floor, grooving along to the music while some headed to the photobooth area, which had props.

Although there were several other events held at the same time, the Beaux Arts Ball proved to be a roaring success. Even Jay Gatsby himself would have been proud.
