Atlanta Superintendent Cheats Way To The Top

The Atlanta Public School system has been under investigation for doctoring standardized test scores since 2011, and as of last night 27 of the 35 educators under investigation have turned themselves in. Superintendent Beverly Hall, the 2009 winner of the National Superintendent of the Year, was among the educators.

Last week, an indictment was released in Fulton County against the 35 educators, Hall being cited as placing unreasonable goals on educators, and that she also “protected and rewarded those who achieved goals by cheating.”

The superintendent has also been accused of firing principals who refused to cheat by changing test scores in the Atlanta Public School system.
