No activity reported.

March 1

1:16 a.m. — Security responded to a vehicle accident with no injuries at Dyson lot. Savannah-Chatham Metro Police responded to the scene and issued a crime report.

11:30 a.m. — Security was informed of graffiti on the sidewalk in front of Arnold Hall. Security notified maintenance of the damage.

1 p.m. — A student reported to security that her bike had been stolen from her off-campus residence. Savannah-Chatham Metro Police responded to the scene and issued a crime report.

8 p.m. — A student reported to security that a set of earphones was missing from one of the cubicles at Eichberg Hall. The student stated that he left the headphones in the cubicle for fifteen minutes and the headphones were gone when he returned.

8:28 p.m. — An on-call counselor contacted security requesting a ride to The Clark Center For Behavioral Medicine Psychiatric Unit. Security responded to the scene and provided transportation for the student and the counselor.

March 2

11:30 a.m. — Security was informed that there was graffiti in the men’s bathroom at Arnold Hall. Security notified maintenance of the damage.

4:02 p.m. — A student reported to security that her car had been damaged at an unknown location. The student stated that she recently noticed the damage and was unsure where or when it may have happened. She declined Police response.

March 3

7:34 p.m. — Security discovered box sealed with duct tape and containing an emaciated cat in front of the saddle show room at the equestrian center. Jasper County Sheriff’s Department was notified and issued a crime report.

March 4

1:50 a.m. — A student reported to security that he lost his ID somewhere near Alexander Hall. Security instructed the student on how to obtain a replacement ID.

10:15 a.m. — A professor notified security that one of his students needed to speak with an on-call counselor. Security contacted the counselor and passed on the information.

2 p.m. — Security responded to a vehicle accident involving a non-SCAD individual striking a support column of the Barnard Village common building. Savannah-Chatham Metro Police and EMS responded to the scene. EMS transported the driver from the scene. Police issued a crime report.

7:51 p.m. — Security observed a male in a black Oldsmobile Cutlass periodically entering the Turner lot and driving away after students would approach the vehicle and then depart. Savannah-Chatham Metro Police was notified and stopped the driver when he reentered the Turner lot. The driver was charged with parking in a handicapped spot, possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia. Police issued a crime report.

10:13 p.m. — ABM Janitorial Service employees reported that their vehicles had been vandalized while they were parked at the Physical Resources lot. Savannah-Chatham Metro Police responded to the scene and issued a crime report.

March 5

12:24 a.m. — Security discovered a student sleeping in one of the bathroom stalls at Eichberg Hall. The student stated that he had no recollection of how he got to Eichberg Hall and stated that he had recently been at the Crystal Beer Parlor. The student smelled strongly of alcohol. The student was informed that he could not stay there and had a friend pick him up to return him to his off campus residence.

12:45 p.m. — Security responded to a vehicle accident at Oglethorpe House involving a vehicle that struck a parked car and fled the scene. Savannah-Chatham Metro Police was contacted, but stated that they would not do a report until the owner of the vehicle was present.

March 6

12:23 a.m. — Savannah-Chatham Metro Police notified security that they received a 911 call from a room of Turner House in reference to a student with alcohol poisoning. Security met EMS at the scene. The room’s occupant stated that she had been asleep for the last hour and did not make the call. EMS confirmed the room number with police and after finding no medical issue at the scene they departed the site.

1:57 a.m. — Security responded to a “smoke” alarm at a room in Abercorn Terrace. The alarm was determined to have been caused by steam from the shower.

6:01 p.m. — Security observed two males walking south on Barnard Street. The individuals were checking each car to see if it was locked. Savannah-Chatham Metro Police was notified and responded to the scene. Security gave a description of the men to police who stated that they would increase patrols of the area.

7:15 p.m. — Security responded to a vehicle accident behind Bergen Hall involving a SCAD student and a non-SCAD individual. No injuries were reported. Savannah-Chatham Metro Police responded to the scene and issued a crime report.

11:38 p.m. — A student reported to security that someone jumped out of her boyfriend’s car and ran away when they returned to the vehicle. The student stated that there was nothing missing from the vehicle that was parked at Papy and Turner streets. Savannah-Chatham Metro Police responded to the scene and issued a crime report.
