Cultivating Savannah Art— shareholders sought

Students from SCAD’s Arts Administration Department are presenting Cultivating Savannah Art (CSA). CSA looks toward fostering and promoting the relationship between artist and buyer in Savannah and surrounding areas.

Shareholders buy shares of art based upon the concept of investment. Shareholders invest in either a full- or half-share. A full-share of art (five pieces) can be purchased for $200 and a half-share (two pieces) of art will be priced at $100. The local art purchased by shareholders is picked at random by the CSA staff. CSA will donate part of the proceeds to America’s Second Harvest of Coastal Georgia.

The shareholders and artists are invited to attend an exhibition of the art from March 7-11 at Fahm Hall Gallery, 1 Fahm St. A closing reception will be held at 6 p.m. March 11 at the gallery; this is when the shareholders are able to pick up their purchased shares of art at the end of the night and meet the artists.  The reception will also feature speakers discussing sustainability.

To participate as a shareholder please contact Cultivating Savannah Art through the Facebook page and/or e-mail CSA at cultivatingsavannahart@gmail.com.
