Director Trey Edward Shults rides ‘Waves’ to the big screen

Excitement was in the air as journalists and photographers gathered outside Jen Library for the chance to interview Director Trey Edward Shults. Shults took to the red carpet to answer questions about his new film “Waves.” 

From the carpet, Shults offered advice on students trying to make it in the film industry.

This highly anticipated film started its rounds in the festival circuit in August of this year. It’s already received stellar reviews from movie critics and audiences alike.

Shults is no stranger to Hollywood, serving in roles such as assistant and intern for the last decade, even for the famed director Terrence Malick. Shults is the director of two other films, “Krisha” and “It Comes at Night.”
