District Quarterly waxes nostalgic

Overcome by that wistful feeling for those summer days when mid-terms were not even on your mind? Wish for cookies and milk and an afternoon nap—just like kindergarten?

Bring that sense of longing with you when you join Student Media for the launch of District Quarterly’s Nostalgia issue, 6-9 p.m., October 15 at Desoto Row Gallery, 2427 Desoto Ave. (one block west of the intersection of Bull and 41st Streets).

SCAD’s student-produced theme magazine publishes original creative works by students, including literary essays, short stories, paintings, photography, mixed media art, videos and drawings. All student artwork will be on display at the gallery during the party, which will also feature foods inspired by childhood.

At the launch, District Quarterly’s editor, Katelan Cunningham, will announce the winter issue’s theme and deadline for submissions.
