Explore Spring activities in Savannah

Spring is here! From both old and new favorites, here are some things to do while the weather is nice, or escape the rain!

Savannah Square Pops

Stay cool! Grab a handmade popsicle at one of many vendors around savannah, or visit their new location on River Street. There’s a huge array of interesting flavors waiting to be tried.

Skidaway Island State Park

Escape downtown for an afternoon. Skidaway State Park has miles of trails and runs along the intracoastal waterway. There’s a boardwalk and observation tower as well. If you’re up for a stay-cation there’s cabins and camping available too!

Food Trucks

Honk honk! Line up for some delicious street food. Every day of the week there are food trucks moving around town. Not sure where to start? Try the jerk chicken from Sweet Spice is a great dish or go have a picnic on the Isle of Hope or Butter Bean Beach! Find the schedule with the food trucks, locations, and times here.

Origin

A new addition to the downtown coffee scene, Origin at the Clyve Venue is serving up great coffee and a wonderfully social distanced study spot. It is very conveniently located by the SCAD MoA, perfect to pick up a cup on a walk to class or downtown. They also have pastries from Auspicious Bakery and a fun creme-brulee latte.

Telfair Museums

A favorite place on rainy days to get inspired by art and history! There’s a great student membership that grants you access to the Jepson Center, Telfair Academy, and the Owens Thomas House and Slave Quarters. The Jepson Center is especially beautiful to watch the rain from inside the glass walls and ceilings. Keep up with exhibits and other information here
