Find a gift to give from your fellow bees

If you’re lost at the thought of gift giving or just trying to find the most unique present for a person in your life, consider looking to fellow bees for their talents. With Valentine’s Day and many birthdays coming up, a lot of classmates are selling their art or taking commissions.

Madisyn Welborn, a third-year photography major, is selling postcard prints. As a documentary and landscape photographer, Welborn’s inspiration for photography comes from a desire to explore places she’s never been. Welborn said, “I really just love the story an image can tell.” Welborn described her prints as “5×7 film photographs I’ve taken that double as postcards.” Each includes the location of the photo on the backside. For more information, click here.

If you are looking for commissioned pieces, look at Kiersten Hebron, a second-year graphic design student. Hebron specializes in commission-based watercolor paintings. You can access the commission link here. Hebron said, “Inspiration for art started as a way to destress.” This quickly made art a passion of hers. If you are interested in a painting of a beloved pet or flower as a gift, look no further.
