Gamers level up with SCAD eSports

The SCAD eSports Varsity Overwatch competition took place Saturday in the Student Center. Tensions escalated as players prepared themselves to join the match. Once a match began, a silence ensued among supportive friends in the audience, only the sound of keyboards and mouse clicks audible. The coaches fired cues from behind the screen as team members coordinated power moves. Once the match ended, like any sport, winning teams continued on into the next round.Recently, eSports have grown in popularity at schools across the world.
