Untitled-15-300x225

Intramural basketball took place this Friday from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. because of an accidental double-booking with the SCAD girl’s soccer team.

Green Street Elite beat Tuna Roll 83-47. Elite’s Taron Jordan racked up 28 points, and team captain Jake Green recovered 10 rebounds. Tuna Roll’s Jamil Primas led with 10 points.

Campus Bullies beat the Korean Student Association team, or KSA 55-28. Campus Bullies team captain Jon Moody and teammate Matt Rogers both scored 13 points that game. Rogers led with 11 rebounds. Gene Fu for KSA put up nine points and Jung Won Park landed seven rebounds.

Old School beat Brick Squad 72-71 in what was touted as the closest game of the quarter by Old School captain Eddie Concepcion. Tyler Burton racked up 21 rebounds and led with 18 points, followed by Mark Godoy’s 20 rebounds and 14 points. Brick Squad’s Kyle Drew put up a massive 30 points, almost half of his entire team.

The Chinese Student Association, or CSA, beat Freel Ballin’ by forfeit.

CSA played Free Agent for the last game of the day and won 61-35. CSA’s Yi Jin put up 16 points, and Shangdong Yan led with 11 rebounds. Free Agent’s Mihajlo Crnogorac put up 22 points, but not without frequent arguing with the referees. Overall, a faster-paced, better coordinated CSA ran circles around Free Agent.
