“Moonlight” actor and Discovery Award recipient, Mahershala Ali walked the carpet Friday, October 28, before accepting his award at the Trustees Theater.
Ali is best known for his work in “Luke Cage” as Cotton Mouth.
Accompanying him was up and coming actor, Ashton Sanders. Sanders plays the teenage version of lead-character, Chiron, in the film.
The two then moved onto the Trustees for the gala screening of “Moonlight.”
