Amidst the cobblestone streets and historic charm of Savannah, GA, there is a vibrant coffee culture waiting to be discovered, and with springtime just around the corner, tourism is nearly at its peak. People from around the world come to Savannah for its picturesque sights, rambunctious St. Patrick’s Day festivities and to, of course, visit SCAD. With all of the fun and madness happening in the city, you’ll need a pick-me-up every now and then. Thankfully, Savannah has plenty of incredible coffee shops to keep you caffeinated.

Savannah’s coffee scene offers a delightful array of cafes and roasteries, each with its own unique ambiance and specialty brews. Whether you’re visiting or a dedicated coffee connoisseur looking for a regular spot, Savannah’s diverse coffee landscape promises something for everyone. Just to name a few, here are some of my favorite spots that are very popular but also some amazing hidden gems. 

Asher & Rye

Asher and Rye is a chic café offering artisanal coffee and fresh pastries. The café boasts a stylish, modern interior with comfortable seating, making it an ideal spot for catching up with friends or enjoying a moment of relaxation amidst the hustle and bustle of the city.

Foxy Loxy Cafe

Located in the artsy Starland District, Foxy Loxy Cafe is a cozy spot known for its delicious coffee, delectable pastries, and vibrant courtyard. It’s a great place to enjoy live music or mingle with locals while sipping on your favorite brew.

Franklin’s

Franklin’s is a charming coffee shop where visitors can enjoy freshly brewed coffee and a welcoming atmosphere that reflects Savannah’s rich history and culture. Located on Liberty Street, it’s a great location to work or grab and go when walking around Savannah. 

PERC Coffee

For a true coffee aficionado experience, head to PERC Coffee Roasters. This specialty roastery offers guided tastings and tours, allowing you to learn about the coffee-making process while enjoying freshly roasted beans.

Origin Coffee stands out as a beloved destination for coffee lovers in Savannah. Located on Martin Luther King Boulevard, this specialty coffee shop offers a diverse selection of meticulously sourced and expertly brewed beans, along with a cozy atmosphere perfect for savoring every sip.

Savannah Coffee Roasters

As one of Savannah’s oldest and most respected coffee institutions, Savannah Coffee Roasters has been serving up quality coffee since 1909. Located on Liberty Street, this iconic roastery offers a wide selection of freshly roasted beans sourced from around the world. Visitors can sample various blends and single-origin coffees while taking in the sights and sounds of Savannah’s historic district.

Java Burrito

Combining the best of both worlds, Java Burrito is a unique café and burrito bar located in the Habersham Village neighborhood. Agatha’s has become one of the recent favorites since it’s a quaint coffee shop tucked away in the historic district. Inspired by the work of iconic writer ​​Agatha Christie, it’s an ideal spot to enjoy a leisurely cup of coffee since you are immersed in “live ASMR” and cozy furniture.
