SCAD TVFest: What to know about this upcoming weekend

In the mix of screenings, SCAD is presenting its newest sitcom: “Tours & Attractions,” Thursday, Feb. 9, at 12:30 p.m. Some other screenings that are happening through the course of the weekend are “National Treasure: Edge of History,” “All American: Homecoming,” “Click Bait with Bachelor Nation,” “Gotham Knights,” “Harley Quinn,” “grown-ish” and “Animaniacs.”

Moreso, this year’s honored guests include Wes Bentley, Sarah Michelle Gellar, Sterlin Harjo and Craig Robinson. On top of the many screenings, there are several panels happening each day. Just to name a few, there is the “Inside the Writers Room”, “The Perfect Pitch Workshop”, “Content and Tech in the Web3 Era”, “Finding Representation” and many more. 

SCAD TVFest is happening this weekend at the Atlanta campus, starting this Thursday, Feb. 9, and going until Saturday, Feb. 11. TVFest is an annual event that hosts screenings, premieres, panel discussions and workshops for students and others interested in what’s new and happening in the world of television.

To go about purchasing tickets and passes, one can go online to the SCAD TVFest website, or by calling Savannah Box Office at 912-525-5050 from 10 am to 5 pm Monday through Friday. There are free individual tickets available for SCAD Card Holders in person, which can be claimed from 10 am to 3 pm at the Hub at SCAD Atlanta (1600 Peachtree St. NW) or at the Savannah Box Office (216 E. Broughton St.). Individual tickets for the general public are $5 for daytime events and $10 for the evening. One can also purchase a day pass for Thursday, Friday or Saturday for $25 for SCAD Card holders and alumni ($50 for the general public). The festival pass is $125 for access to all the TV screenings and panels.
