An assortment of scarves in this season's colors.According to Pantone’s Spring/Summer 2014 color chart, pastels are the “it” shades for this season.

The pale pinks, purples, greens, corals and blues appeared throughout the Spring/Summer 2014 runway shows. Burberry Prorsum portrayed the pastel trend in their latest show.

The average person may only dream of owning clothes and accessories straight from the runway, but several local boutiques offer affordable alternatives for those on a tight budget.

Red Clover Boutique, located at the crossroads of West Perry and Bull Streets, provides stylish yet affordable clothing. The trending outfits in their display window are just a hint of all they have to offer, including a wide variety of pastel scarves.

Spring tops available in spring pastels.According to sales associate Shelby Katz, “Pastels were flying off the shelves in the week leading up to Easter Sunday.”

Boutiques in the historic district aren’t the only place to find spring colors. Downtown stores like Villa Savannah also offer affordable pastels.

If the number of people who flocked to the pastel-draped displays are any indication, we can probably expect more stores to adopt this trend.
