Adam Blue

Nirvana, The Eagles, Led Zeppelin

“I’m going for the deals of the familiar things I’ve heard of, so I can broaden my landscape of musical knowledge.”

Joshua Peacock

Modest Mouse, Des Ark

“This (‘Des Ark’) is a Graveface band. They just played Stopover. I was browsing Gravefaces’ bandcamp today and came across this album and really liked it so I had to grab it.”

“This one is a ‘Modest Mouse’ album; one of my favorite bands. I don’t have this one. Just kind of a jewel in the rough.”

Kolten Wellborne

Lana Del Rey

“I’m just a ‘Lana Del Rey’ fan.”

recordstoreday-12

Daniel Stratton

Mash, Outkast, A Tribe Called Quest

“It (‘A Tribe Called Quest’) has some remixes on it that are not on the original that I already have. Because I DJ also so this stuff helps out.”

“I got this (‘M.A.S.H.’), because I used to like the TV show back in the day and I’m sure I can find some funny stuff on here to throw on the mix. Make it interesting.”

“This (‘Outkast’) I got because there is an acapella of this song so I can use the instrumental and put this on a different beat.”

Michael Ricci

Dosh, Buzzcocks

“This (‘Dosh’) is a band that I’ve been listening to for a long time and they’re actually on a record label that’s run by this store.”

“‘Buzzcocks’ is like a semi-punk band in town.”

recordstoreday-10

Shawntel Foster

Emotionalism, Arcade Fire

“I love both of these bands. I have for a very long time (album on the left).”

“I love ‘Arcade Fire’, I particularly got this album for this song. I feel like it’ll sound great on a needle.”

Kathleen Cortes

Bright Eyes

“It’s eight dollars so I can’t go wrong with that (album to the left). I remember watching them live and they just put on such a great show.”

“I really like ‘Bright Eyes’ a lot.  I think he created such a different sound with it so I just wanted to have it.”

recordstoreday-8

Veronica Torres

Led Zeppelin

“I mean ‘Led Zeppelin’ is a classic and for eight bucks I didn’t think it was too bad of a deal. And ‘The white stripes!'”

recordstoreday-7

Autumn Sunshine Poplawski

Fleetwood Mac

“‘Fleetwood Mac’ is just really classic, really chill and you just can’t go wrong with something basically everyones gonna love.”

Kimberly McDonald

Patti Labelle, A Tribe Called Quest

“‘Nostalgia’ would be the main thing. I think it’s my Dads fault cause he was a DJ. So I kind of grew listening to all kinds of music.”

“I’m a big fan of ‘Patti Labelle’ fan.”

“I’ve always been a fan of their (album to the right) era. Really socially conscious which I think is lacking.”
