Fun Slides by Simtec, Co., the carpet skates that allow you to “zoom across any carpeted room,” are constructed with “friction defying super smooth plastic.”
These plastic boards (that come in red, silver, hot pink, lime green, purple and blue) strap on to any rubber-soled shoes and are secured by hook-and-loop straps and shock-free foam. One size fits all, up to men’s size 15, and Fun Slides do not have a weight limit.
The Fun Slides’ commercial even claims you can put Fun Slides on your pets.
You can also buy the Trick Stick Slide Rail for “indoor/outdoor grinding action.” With your Fun Slide purchase ($15 for one pair and $10 for additional pairs) you get a demonstrational DVD that showcases “pro and semi-pro Fun Sliders getting extreme.”
Fun Slides have won Dr. Toy’s Best Children’s Products and Best Active Products awards as well as the Major Fun Award. Creative Child Magazine has awarded Fun Slides their Seal of Excellence and the Preferred Choice Award. The National Parenting Center has even issued their Seal of Approval. Simtec recently released the Carpet Puck, which enables full indoor carpet hockey play. The puck is constructed with smooth plastic to glide on the carpet and soft foam to “bounce off walls.” Yes, these products are ridiculous … ridiculously awesome.
