Live Oak Public Libraries share the magic of reading

By Danielle Austin

Retired teacher Chad Crews was inspired to put on the magician’s hat after reading a book about magic when he was younger.

Now he’s encouraging Savannah’s youth to check out their local libraries to discover their own interests.

As part of “One World, Many Stories,” this year’s theme for the summer program at Live Oak Public Libraries, Crews performed his magic show in front of children and parents throughout the last week of July.

District caught up with Crews after the show to talk a little more in-depth about his career and he even shared some advice for aspiring performers.
